To covet means:
1) To want the wrong things
2) To want the right things for the wrong reasons
3) To want the right things at the wrong time
4) To want the right things in the wrong amount
"Be careful what you beg God for in time you may come to hate what you had to have"
"Our problem is not that we don't want God, it's that we want God AND...."
"What will it take for us to come to that settled place where the central desire of our lives is "God, I just want you." ?"
To covet means to put anything in place of where He should be, something I know that I'm guilty of. To think that anything could satisfy me more than He could. Most of it really is just temporary trappings and distractions.
Lord, I know what I need to give up. Please help me do it.
